Como fotógrafa semi-profesional/aficionada, me gustaría cerrar esta última semana del año Offender con un chico muy talentoso en este rubro. No tiene mucho que conocí el trabajo de Chelak Maxim, pero en cuanto lo vi me enamoré completamente de el, de la luz, de las tomas, de esa naturalidad plasmada en dos dimensiones. Siento que cada fotografía se acerca cada vez más a lo perfecto, que todo es tan natural como el momento que está sucediendo frente a la cámara, la mayoría de sus fotografías están en blanco y negro ya que trabaja casi todo el tiempo con cámara análoga, hoy en día casi todos usamos digital, e incluso después de hacer nuestras tomas, podemos “perfeccionar” nuestra fotografía y hacer esas “trampitas” con algún programa especial, para corregir la luz, el enfoque, o quizá hasta cambiar un fondo si nos apetece.
Es por ello que mi fascinación por el trabajo de este chico ruso crece y crece con cada toma que veo, en lo personal hacer retrato es de las cosas que más se me dificultan, eso de hacer que se vea tan ocasional, ligero y “no posado”, que se vea el alma real de una persona en un simple plano no es cosa fácil.
En si para mi Chelak Maxim destaca la belleza natural de las personas, de la situación, de la luz, del momento, de una manera tan clásica y sútil que te ves envuelto en el instante de cada toma.
Sin más, les dejo un poco de su obra y unas palabras que nos concedió por medio de una entrevista este talentoso fotógrafo que además también hace video y les deseo lo mejor en estas fiestas y espero que el siguiente año este lleno de éxito para todos ustedes.

La vie devant soi
– Il y a soixante ans, quand j'étais jeune, j'ai rencontré une jeune femme qui m'a aimé et que j'ai aimée aussi. Ça a duré huit mois, après, eïle a changé de maison, et je m'en souviens encore, soixante ans après. Je lui disais: je ne t'oublierai pas. Les années passaient, je ne l'oubliais pas. J'avais parfois peur car j'avais encore beaucoup de vie devant moi et quelle parole pouvais-je donner à moi-même, moi, pauvre homme, alors que c'est Dieu qui tient la gomme à effacer? Mais maintenant, je suis tranquille. Je ne vais pas oublier Djamila. Il me reste très peu de temps, je vais mourir avant.

Mosstika Urban Greenery is a NYC based collective of eco-minded street artists, using gorilla tactics to evoke the call of man back to nature. I believe that if everyone had a garden of their own to cultivate, we would have a much more balanced relation to our territories. It is with this notion in mind, that we at Mosstika, aim to collide the worlds of art and nature, creating havens of unexpected greenery, within the colder harsher environment. Together we aim to give green guerrilla tactics a new twist by creating works meant to be touched, in turn aiming to touch the souls of all that pass by. We strive to call back to mind a more playful existence, returning man to nature, even among the barren patches of urban existence.

In her art, eco-minded, NY-based installation artist EDINA TOKODI, explores the diversity and intricate connections between nature and the inorganic world created by man. Her site-specific installations are inspired by Japanese Zen gardens and informed by the space's environs, whether organic or man-made. Often sheathed in steel, glass, pavement and stone, the installations provide an unavoidable contrast to their surroundings. It is within this contrasting atmosphere, that her installations invite interaction, thus reclaiming the human bond with nature.
